It’s possible to have COVID-19 and the flu at the same time, but getting your flu shot can help you reduce the severity of symptoms and shorten recovery time if that happens.
You cannot get the flu from the flu shot.
The flu shot has a 50-year history of good safety records. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration routinely check the safety of all vaccines, including the flu vaccine.
Flu season runs from October through May. It’s never too late in the season to get your flu shot and reduce your risk of getting sick!
